Those last bitter words,
Whether we meant it or not,
Spoken from the heart or just from the mouth,
We parted in our own different ways.

All those promises made,
To keep our sweet memories afresh as ever,
To relive them, I cannot, for the rest of my days.

The distance between us kills me,
Nostalgic moments of the past haunt me,
Looks like we have no other choice these days,
Miles apart now, but close at heart, always.
